Kensington Park community cleanup set for April 23

SARASOTA COUNTY – It’s time to clean out the garage and gather discarded household items, appliances, junk, tree trimmings and other garbage as Sarasota County will hold a free community cleanup in the Kensington Park area from 8 a.m. to noon. Saturday, April 23.  Dumpsters for residential customers will be available at the following locations: 
Tee Road and Tee Lane, Sarasota. Prudence Drive and Melgert Lane, Sarasota. Randa Boulevard and 24th Parkway, Sarasota.  Hazardous waste, such as paint, oil, gas, electronics, appliances, computers, and tires no larger than 25 X 16 will be accepted at the Tee Road and Tee Lane location only. 
Hazardous materials may also be taken to the Sarasota County Chemical Collection Center 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday. The centers are located at 8750 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota; and 250 S. Jackson Road, Venice.  For more information, dial 311 or visit scgov.net.
