Hear the Composers of the Future as SCF Music Students Present Original Work

April 2, 2022 by Post

(Bradenton, Fla., March 31, 2022) —  State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will host “Youthful Inspirations – Original Compositions by SCF Student Composers” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at the SCF Studio for the Performing Arts Recital Hall, 5840 26th St. W., Building 11A. General admission tickets are $15 and can be purchased online at SCF.edu/Neel, while tickets for students and staff are $5 at the door.

The student composers whose work will be featured are Michael Evans, Sean Jatich, Maria Madina, Nathan Reid, Katelyn Reinschmidt and Jacob Wicks. The students have honed their skills under the direction of composition instructor Rex Willis to create music that is beautiful, intriguing, powerful, meditative and fun. While there may not be any child prodigies among the group, their work early in their musical career is impressive. Several have already been commissioned.
