
(St. Petersburg, FL – March 29, 2022) – Blue Sky Communities will celebrate the opening of Skyway Lofts with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, March 29. Skyway Lofts is a new construction affordable family housing community consisting of 17 one-bedroom and 48 two-bedroom units totaling 65 units. The City of St. Petersburg contributed $90,000 toward the project as part of the State Housing Initiatives Partnership Program. Blue Sky Communities also utilized the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program to make Skyway Lofts a reality.

Other partners in the project include Pinellas County, Florida Housing Finance Corporation, TIAA Bank, Raymond James Bank, and Raymond James Affordable Housing Investments.
Of the 65 units, 12 are designated for households making up to 30% of the area median income (AMI), 40 units for households making up to 60% of AMI, and 13 for households earning up to 80% of AMI.
All apartments feature fully equipped kitchens, luxury vinyl flooring, walk-in closets, ensuite baths, and multiple energy efficient features. Amenities include a clubhouse, computer lab, fitness center on-site laundry, and free parking.
Rents for one-bedroom units range from $346-$1,039, and two-bedroom units range from $402-$1,234 depending on income level. Rental assistance vouchers are also accepted.
