UT To Host Spring 2022 Leadership Speaker Series

March 15, 2022 by Post

TAMPA – The TECO Energy Center for Leadership, part of the Sykes College of Business at The University of Tampa, is proud to present “Know Thy Team and Know Thyself,” as part of the Leadership Speaker Series, a biannual speaker event. The event will be held on Wednesday, March 23, from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in the Crescent Club on the 9th floor of the Vaughn Center on campus.

The speaker is Dirk Montgomery, chief financial officer and supply chain leader of Fiesta Restaurant Group. Montgomery has served as a chief financial officer with four publicly traded companies and has led a large number of capital market debt and equity transactions totaling more than $5 billion in value. In 2019, he stepped into his current role at Fiesta Restaurant Group, a $1 billon restaurant holding company.

The Leadership Speaker Series is dedicated to bringing in outstanding leaders from the private, government and nonprofit sectors to discuss business topics and corporate strategies with students, faculty, alumni and members of the community. Leaders candidly share their experiences, discuss challenges that have impacted their leadership development and provide advice to aspiring leaders.

The event is free for students, faculty and guests. Attendees are required to RSVP at ut.edu/cfl/speakerseries/ as seating is limited.

For more information about the event, contact Dominique Walker, coordinator of operations in the Sykes College of Business, at dwalker@ut.edu or (813) 257-3782.

The University of Tampa is a private, comprehensive university located on 110 acres on the riverfront in downtown Tampa. Known for academic excellence, personal attention and real-world experience in its undergraduate and graduate programs, the University serves 10,500 students from 50 states and 130 countries. The majority of full-time students live on campus, and about half of UT students are from Florida.
