PAVA Announces the 2022 Annual Members’ Awards Exhibit Award Winning Artists

Best of Show – PAVA’s 2022 Annual Members’ Awards Exhibit

Exhibition Dates: Wednesday, March 2nd – Friday, April 1st

PAVA’s (Professional Association of Visual Artists) is pleased to announce the award winners of the 2022 Annual Members’ Awards Exhibit. The award-winning artists received monetary prizes and ribbons in the categories of Best of Show, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Runners Up, and several Honorable Mentions at the opening reception that was held the evening of Wednesday, March 9th at The Cool Art Shop in Dunedin.

The exhibition was judged by Jose R. Gelats, who has over 30 years of experience working for nonprofit arts organizations and has held professional positions within the curatorial, education, and administrative departments of the Tampa Museum of Art, the Leepa Rattner Museum of Art in Tarpon Springs, Hillsborough Community College’s Gallery221, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

PAVA’s 2022 Annual Members’ Awards Exhibit Winning Artists:

Best of Show: Lynn Foskett – “Pandemic Chair #5” – Oil, Cold Wax and Marker
1st Runner Up: Lonni Hopkins – “Beauty (One of the Three Graces)” – Sterling Silver & Mother of Pearl
2nd Runner Up: Ric Savid – “Lillian Double Image” – Photography
3rd Runner Up: Janet Folsom – “Music!” – Oil

Honorable Mentions:

Wayne Davis – “Delusional” – Pencil on Paper
Mark Lembo – “Take It For Granite” – Ink and Watercolor
Donna Linder – “What Lies Ahead” – Acrylic
Clifton Moorehead – “Garden of Uncertainty” – Watercolor
Diane V. Radel – “ On The Upswing” – Acrylic

PAVA’s Annual Members’ Awards Exhibit will be at The Cool Art Shop, located at 1240 County Rd. 1, Dunedin, Fl, through Friday, April 1st. All the exhibit’s artwork is available for sale during the shop’s normal operating hours, Wednesday – Saturday, 11:00 am – 4:00 pm.

PAVA, the Professional Association of Visual Artists, is a non-profit organization run by volunteer artists to serve local artisans and support the arts community in the Tampa Bay Area. It provides exhibition, education and grant opportunities for its members, as well as offers its members’ artwork for sale at its shop, The Cool Art Shop, located at 1240 County Road 1, Dunedin. Additionally, PAVA supports local art centers, and is a local sponsor of the Pinellas County Regional National Scholastic Art Awards where scholarships are provided to students for art instruction.
