Food For Fuel: Youth Cooking and Nutrition Program

Free Instruction and Meals Especially for Young Athletes

Tampa, Fla. – WellFed Communities, University Area CDC (Community Development Corporation)’s Get Moving Program and Children’s Board of Hillsborough County have teamed up to offer free cooking and nutrition instruction for youth, focusing on young athletes.

The sessions will take place every other Wednesday at Harvest Hope Center, 13704 N. 20th Street, Tampa, 33613 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. starting on March 30.

This class is free of charge and pre-registration is unnecessary. Questions may be directed to Ronnie Oliver, ROliver@UACDC.org, 813.690.1457.

Celebrating 23 years of serving the community, University Area CDC offers support for thousands of Tampa residents through youth programs, adult education and resource assistance. Its primary mission is the redevelopment and sustainability of the at-risk areas surrounding University of South Florida’s Tampa campus.
