Captain Mike Anderson’s First Annual Reel Animals Classic Fishing Tournament to Benefit the Children’s Home Network

Calling all anglers! Captain Mike Anderson is hosting the First Annual Reel Animals Classic Fishing Tournament benefitting the Children’s Home Network. This exclusive event takes place on Friday, April 29th, 2022 at 9:00 am at the Westshore Yacht Club, located at 6005 Beacon Shores Street, Tampa, FL 33616. Proceeds raised will help heal the hearts of abused, neglected, and abandoned children, and support local families in need.

On Friday morning, anglers will enjoy a delicious breakfast at 7:30 am before they set sail on guided boat tours at 9:00 am until weigh-ins take place at 2:00 pm. This tournament features an online auction, full breakfast, angler giveaways, and delicious lunch after all weigh-ins. There will be prizes awarded to first, second, and third place.

Captain Michael Anderson has been fishing and competing in tournaments on Tampa Bay and Florida waters for over 25 years. He has been guiding on the west coast of Florida for over 20 years and specializes in backcountry fishing for Tarpon, Snook, Redfish, and Trout. He is the Host of Reel Animals Saturday on AM970 WFLA radio in Tampa from 6 to 8 am every Saturday morning, and the Co-Host of the TA Mahoney Co. Reel Animals Radio show on AM620 WDAE in Tampa on Sunday mornings from 7 to 9 am. Captain Mike is also the host of the Reel Animals Fishing Show TV version and has been doing fish radio for over 20 years.

The Children’s Home Network is Tampa’s oldest, and continuously running non-profit that is improving lives and changing life stories for 130 years. At its residential campus on Memorial Highway, the Children’s Home Network provides a safe, healing, and nurturing environment to help boys and girls who have experienced trauma.
