It all began after watching the Rocky movie as a kid. Then he explored Sylvester Stallone biographies. He thought, I want to do that! I want to make movies. He caught the movie bug right away. Fast forward 20 years later and that’s what he’s doing every chance he gets.
Brian Jalbert lives in St. Petersburg. This father of 4 young girls, loves movies and now that’s his passion. This is a far cry from shooting backyard videos as a kid with his brother, Jake. Now he has to get or write a script, hire actors, plan budgets and get funding. Once he checks off those boxes – it’s action time. Then distribution. Happy to say, this new project is really taking off.
Produced and filmed during the pandemic, the psychological thriller Mind Games is really getting noticed on streaming platforms. To date it has 6 million streaming views and counting. This is very exciting for Jalbert who produced the film and was on screen too. Shot on location around Tampa Bay, his team made the best of Covid-19.
The film is about an Army psychologist held captive by an unknown adversary who must find her way out of an RV in the middle of nowhere to survive. It also touches on PTSD and military situations too. It is suspenseful, filled with intrigue and leaves viewers on the edge of their seats.
It has a female lead and stars other notable actors including Jim Fitzpatrick who was in Armageddon, Star Trek & All My Children. Michael Milhoan joined the cast. His impressive resume includes Field of Dreams, Tin Cup and Crimson Tide. Robert LaSardo is in Mind Games as well, his credits hail from Nip/Tuck and CSI Miami. Finally there’s Michael Paré with his credits including The Lincoln Lawyer and Hope Floats.
Determined to make movies, he has 4 feature films to his credit to date along with 2 TV shows. He enjoys the creative process and says Tampa Bay is simply perfect for engaging with local actors and the amazing scenery for filming options. Jalbert is happy and proud his team and new associates trust his passion and want to work with him due to previous successful productions. Each project gets more traction to lead to the next one. Jalbert is excited about what the future holds.
