Award Winning Journalist Launches “True Looks of Love” Tour Next Month

February 23, 2022 by Post

February 22, 2022 – Long time media personality and Festival Founder Cindy Mich is embarking on a new labor of love these days. She is walking away from her career for the next four months so as to hit the road on her “True Looks of Love” tour. Her goal: travel to thirteen states, and perform a total of 52 live screenings. Said tour shall commence in March, 2022 in Wisconsin.

For the calendar year of 2021, Cindy and the love of her life were battling his lymphoma diagnosis. They traveled back and forth between two states for months getting treatments and testing, and had little to no help with traveling, accommodations or medical expenses. After being advised after five treatments that he was starting on the road to remission, some random testing revealed a second illness was present – stomach cancer. In late October/November, he became sicker and weaker; eventually collapsing at home on November 20, 2021. After 12 days in ICU, tragically, he passed away on December 2, 2021 – and has taken almost all of her with him.

Michael spent 52 years on this earth, and his occupation was professional acting. Cindy wishes to keep his memory and movies alive by doing these various live film screenings. A good portion of the profits from these events will be donated to other cancer patients struggling to pay for travel, medical expenses or lodging related to treatments. The tour will include stops in all of the following states: FL, NYC, TN, TX, NV, CA, Wi, NC, CO, NJ, MN, AZ and LA.

Cindy Mich has lovingly been referred to as a modern day mix of Dick Cavett and Wonder Woman. She is an an awarding winning journalist and on-air broadcaster. She has a combined listener base/readership audience of 205,000. Further, she has been running the NYC based indie film festival, Art is Alive, for the last seven years. Her time as a professional film judge found her screening over 800 films in the last few years, including for the illustrious AFI and Tribeca. Mich also owns the digital publication, The Art is Alive Magazine, which launched in 2019.
