February 10, 2022 – St. Petersburg, FL. Hine Automation, a worldwide supplier of automation solutions, announced today that it has partnered with a top thin-film developer. The collaboration spawned the delivery of a three-chamber vacuum transport system using Hine’s Constellation HA- 400 handler, a Cassette-To-Cassette Vacuum Transfer System, to one of the world’s leading nanoelectronics research companies.
Rather than the conventional “cluster” design, Hine’s resulting modular design allows for loading and unloading of 100 – 200mm wafers for transportation to up to six process modules.
The linkable design permits processing modules to be added as needed in a compact configuration, reducing the overall system footprint by up to 40%.
In addition, the integrated configuration allows the fabricator to optimize throughput by balancing the flow while eliminating bottleneck processing chambers.
