The 28th Annual General H. Norman Schwarzkopf Memorial Sporting Clays Classic presented by Absolutely Amazing Refinishing will take place on Saturday, March 12th at Tampa Bay Sporting Clays in Land O’ Lakes. Registration will begin at 8:30 am with a shotgun start at 10:00 am.
This year’s event is hosted by Captain Mike Anderson and includes a delicious breakfast, complimentary ammunition, a shooter shirt, a full round of sporting clays, followed by an outstanding lunch and an awards ceremony. Participants and spectators will have the opportunity to partake in the card draw for a chance to win fabulous prizes including outdoor equipment, airline tickets, and more. In addition, there will be an online auction of personal memorabilia donated by the Schwarzkopf family that will be open to both event participants and non-participants.
Thanks to the hard work of the volunteer event committee and the continuing support of the Schwarzkopf family, this event has raised over $2.5 million for Children’s Home Network since 1995. Following General Schwarzkopf’s untimely passing in late 2012, it was warmly and unanimously decided to rename this event in his honor.
Founded in 1892, the Children’s Home Network is Tampa’s oldest continuously run charity. Thanks to the generous support of the Tampa Bay community, we have provided a safe and nurturing environment for foster children for 130 years. Our organization remains committed to healing children from the trauma of abuse, neglect, and abandonment while improving lives and changing life stories of at-risk families.
We look forward to a day of fun at the 28th Annual General H. Norman Schwarzkopf Memorial Sporting Clays Classic, benefiting the Children’s Home Network!
