Public event at Water Works Park on Saturday, February 26 from 10am to 1pm
Tampa, Florida – February 15, 2022 The ROTARY CLUB OF TAMPA invites the community to honor our grant recipients and community partners at our second annual GIVING DAY on Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 10:00am until 1:00pm at the Tampa Rotary Pavilion in Water Works Park, 1710 N. Highland Ave, Tampa, FL 33602.
Grants totaling over $70,000 will benefit seventeen local organizations. Each recipient organization will be on hand with an informational table highlighting their mission and volunteer opportunities, and will take the stage to share heart-warming stories of their impact with those they serve.
ROTARY CLUB OF TAMPA GIVING DAY is a family-friendly event, free and open to the community. The day features an hour-long, free concert by local R&B rockers Bus Stop Band. In addition, there will be live entertainment from Buccaneers Cheerleaders, Icon Prep Marching Rattlers as well as Slammer Shop and JAK’s Ohana food trucks, music, dancing and more. Local personality Steve Overton will emcee the celebration, and local dignitaries including Hillsborough County School Board Chairwoman Nadia Combs and Colonel Kyle Robinson, Commander, Department of Patrol Services for Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office will be on hand to share in the fun.

“As we choose our partner organizations each year, we are struck by the amazing causes creating change that matters in Tampa. We are honored to celebrate these organizations, and proud to share the work that the Rotary Club of Tampa has supported in our community for the past 107 years,” says Linda Devine, President of Rotary Club of Tampa.
In addition to the club’s annual grant program, Rotary Club of Tampa provides scholarship support for top area high school graduates from the Boys and Girls Clubs, and shares holiday gifts with the county’s neediest elementary school students in partnership with Walmart, Caspers Co. McDonalds, and Hillsborough County Public Schools. Altogether, the Rotary Club of Tampa will invest over $123,000 in the Tampa area community this year.
The Rotary Club of Tampa was formed in Tampa in 1914, with 140 members representing the local business community. The Rotary Club of Tampa Foundation was formed in June 1983 and is registered with the State of Florida as an 501(c)(3) organization.
