TAMPA, FL, February 2022: GTE Financial builds upon its mission to serve its members and the local Tampa Bay community by awarding 24 young adults a $2,500 scholarship for the 11th consecutive year. Members who dedicate their time to academic pursuits and community involvement are encouraged to apply.
The GTE Student Scholarship award assists eligible high school seniors and undergraduate students with tuition, fees, books, supplies, and equipment needed to pursue an undergraduate degree. Requirements include an essay stating the student’s experience in helping the local community and the impact of their involvement. A panel of 20 respected community leaders determine the winners based on the quality of their essays, academic merit, and work experience.
