Welcome to Valentween 2022: Illuminati/Illuminaughty! This year’s event features the SPIRITS of St. Petersburg sponsored Valentween art show, featuring the erotic use of light (think Morticia Addams and the light that frames her eyes). This continues the theme of Second Halloween/Valentine’s Day and is the perfect off-beat Valentine’s Day show in the area. This year, the awards will be decided by you — attendees will vote on their favorite works and the top winners will get cash prizes for First, Second, and Third places. A photo op spot for Valentween will also be available, so bring your cell phones! Avacado (Kristi Capone) will provide snacks. Darjuxena’s B.R.E.W.S. Dance Show is happening at 7:30, so come to see our own local dancing witches celebrating with us! Tarot card readings are also available for those who want to see where their love lives (or other themes) will go for 2022.
This year is also a 2-for-1 show. B. Stark Art Studios is sponsoring the Tarot Card Project Sneek Peek — 20 artists will show their works on both the walls of Stark’s studio and in the kitchen area. This show is slated to open in full October 2022, with 78 artists depicting their interpretation of an assigned tarot card, and a tarot deck made from these images. This sneak peek is a perfect enticement, and prints of images will be for sale.
