Title: “For the Birds”
Oil, Pastel and Acrylic Paintings by Joanna Karpay
Dates: Tuesday, February 1 – Tuesday, February 27, 2022
The theme of Joanna’s exhibit, “For The Birds” is inspired by her love and fascination with birds. From the miraculous beauty of flight, to the sounds of their song and sometimes even comical behavior — in her opinion, they are nothing short of magical!
Joanna Karpay, an award-winning artist, has been painting since childhood. Painting is her passion and her work is inspired by her love of nature.
Growing up on Tampa Bay as a sixth-generation Floridian, she learned to love painting the wild beauty in the landscape surrounding her. Inspired by tropical colors and shapes, she is known for her bold brushwork and vibrant colors. She is proficient in oils, pastels and acrylics and teaches all of these mediums.
