SARASOTA, Fla. – Jan. 25, 2022 – The Southwest Florida Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP-SWFL) presents Turning Social Media Interactions into Loyal Donors on February 8, 2022 at Michael’s On East, 1212 S. East Ave., Sarasota. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., program to follow at noon. Virtual option is available.
Social media is the new frontier for donor growth and engagement. After dozens of viral videos with views in the millions, learn how Loveland Center has navigated an untapped audience on a global scale to increase donor engagement and boost brand visibility resulting in new fundraising revenue streams. This month’s program is presented by Loveland Center’s Jennifer Bushinger-Ortiz, Vice President of Philanthropy and Alyssa Maffeo, Marketing Coordinator.
“As the world shut down at the start of the pandemic, we quickly realized the power and potential of social media to unite and connect us with our longtime supporters, as well as open our nonprofit to new and future mission champions,” said Bushinger-Ortiz. “Never in our wildest dreams did we expect our first video on TikTok to go viral and hit a million views within 9 hours. As our content has been viewed more than 15 million times, we are grateful and humbled for the opportunity to share our mission and the incredible journey of those we serve in an effort to further our quest to ‘bring visibility to disability’ with a global community,” she added.
This program is for all fundraisers, executives and board of directors to attend. Invite your development committee and your communications team as your guest.
