ST. PETERSBURG, FL (Jan. 21, 2022) – Tampa Bay Business Journal announced that our very own Valerie Powell-Stafford, FACHE, CEO, Northside Hospital has been nominated for the 2022 BusinessWoman of the Year. Valerie is among 34 local business women who were chosen from a field of close to 500 nominations for this prestigious recognition. BusinessWoman of the Year honors Tampa Bay’s most influential women in the business community. These women represent a variety of industries and professions who demonstrate business success, community involvement and leadership ability.

Prior to becoming the CEO at Northside Hospital in April 2019, Valerie held a number of leadership positions in HCA Florida Healthcare hospitals. She has served on the boards of the University of Michigan Health Services Management and Policy Program Alumni, St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, and the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Executive Cabinet of Tampa Bay. She received a Master of Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in health administration from Indiana University.
Honorees will be recognized at the BusinessWoman of the Year awards gala on March 11 at The Vinoy in downtown St. Petersburg.
