 SARASOTA COUNTY – It’s time to clean out the garage and gather discarded household items, appliances, junk, tree trimmings and other garbage as Sarasota County will hold a free community cleanup in the Newtown Estates Park and Beverly Terrace areas from 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, January 22. Dumpsters will be available at the following locations: Main: Newtown Estates Park and Dr. Martin Luther King Way, Sarasota. Secondary: 23rd Street and Chester Avenue, Sarasota. Hazardous materials, electronics, televisions and computers will be accepted at the main dumpster location only. Auto parts, commercial printers, and tires over 26 X 16 will not be accepted at either location, however, may be taken to the Sarasota County Chemical Collection Center 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday.
