It’s FREE! Come try out paddling with no strings attached — there’s a seat in the boat for you! The NBP Paddling Program uses dragon boats, outrigger canoes, kayaks and more. Whether you’re interested in recreational paddling or you want to be competitive, we have a place for you. Our paddlers all train as one big family, but on race days, divide up into their teams — the community NBP Dragons team, the NBP Survivors In Sync breast-cancer-survivor team, the NBP Veterans and the NBP Dragons all-cancer-survivors team. With three berths to the International Dragon Boat Federation Club Crew World Championships, which will be held at NBP this summer, the program looks to beef up its rosters even further before the season gets under way, and certainly for the world championships. We provide the life jackets and paddles, so bring your sense of adventure and teamwork. Come see if this is for you! When: Saturday, Jan. 15, 9:30-11:30 a.m. Where: South end of NBP’s Regatta Island, at the dragon boat dock Contact: programs@sanca.us |
