Manatee Chamber Announces Mac Carraway Will Be Honored with 5th Annual Robert P. Bartz Award for Outstanding Leadership

December 20, 2021 by Post

(Manatee County, FL) – Manatee County businessman and community leader Mac Carraway will receive the 5th Annual Robert P. Bartz Award for Outstanding Leadership at the Manatee Chamber of Commerce’s 59th Annual Dinner on January 27, 2022 at the Bradenton Area Convention Center.

Created to recognize and inspire community leaders, the Bartz Award celebrates the legacy of the late Bob Bartz, who was president of the Manatee Chamber for almost 35 years until his passing in early 2017. He cared deeply about Manatee County’s economic health and worked diligently, using the Chamber programs and influence, to make a positive difference. His love for our community and the people who live and work here extended well beyond his work-related responsibilities. Bob was a selfless leader of the highest integrity and a tireless advocate.

Mac Carraway is described by colleagues as a generous, humble leader with a steadfast commitment to efforts that enhance Manatee County’s economy and quality of life. Mac’s thoughtful, persistent leadership style is informed by his keen grasp of community issues and deep knowledge of Manatee County’s opportunities and challenges. Mac never seeks the spotlight but has lead important initiatives through consensus and statesmanship. He is president of Carraway Consulting and served as Chairman of the Board of the Manatee Chamber in 2009.

“I am truly honored to have been selected as the 5th Annual Robert P. Bartz Award honoree. Bob was an incredibly special person who inspired me with his friendship, by his relentlessly hopeful outlook, and by his belief in doing the right thing, no matter what,” Mac Carraway stated. “Bob’s love for the Chamber and for this community was uplifting – in the very best sense of that word – and I try to honor his legacy and pass that on whenever I can.”

The Chamber’s Annual Dinner program will also recognize outgoing Chairman of the Board Phill Baker, Boyd Insurance & Investment Services, and incoming Chairman Rick Bisio, The Educated Franchisee, as well as celebrate the Chamber’s mission and accomplishments. The event will be held from 5:00-9:00 PM and tickets are available by calling Kim Dalglish at 941-748-4842, ext. 121.

The community is invited to celebrate with the Manatee Chamber on January 27. For more information please visit www.ManateeChamber.com/AnnualDinner.
