SARASOTA COUNTY – Registration is now open for the 33rd Annual Gulf Coast Games for Life, which take place in January and February at locations throughout Sarasota and Manatee counties. The 2022 Gulf Coast Games for Life events are open to amateur athletes 50 years and older as of Dec. 31, 2022. The games are a qualifying event for the Florida Senior Games State Competition, which serves as a qualifier for the 2022 National Senior Games which will be held in Fort Lauderdale. |
Gulf Coast Games for Life consists of 16 events beginning with the 5K road race on Jan. 15, 2022, and continuing with events from Jan. 30 through Feb. 6, 2022. Events take place in Sarasota County, Manatee County, and the City of North Port. Other Gulf Coast Games for Life events include basketball shooting, bowling, golf, pickleball, shuffleboard and more. A one-time registration fee of $12 is required, with $3 for each event. |
Some events may also have a facility fee. The registration deadline is Jan. 10, 2022. The Gulf Coast Games for Life is Presented by Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources, Manatee County Parks and Natural Resources, and the City of North Port Parks and Recreation.
