A unique approach to supporting animal shelters in the local community
Lakewood Ranch, Florida – December 15, 2021 –DOGPerfect, a locally owned pet retail company with stores in Lakewood Ranch, University Park, and the Landings of Sarasota, is thrilled to announce the launch of DOGPerfect Bonus Wishlist.
DOGPerfect Bonus Wishlist is a first of its kind local giveback program for shelters that works in 4 easy steps. First, shelters hand-pick the essential items they need with the help of DOGPerfect. Second, those items get added to a personalized website where donors can choose which products they’d like to donate. Third, DOGPerfect matches the donations made with bonus products. For example, if a 40lb bag of dog food is donated, DOGPerfect will match that 40lb bag and the shelter will receive two bags, doubling the donation amount. Lastly, DOGPerfect then delivers those items directly to each shelter free of charge.
Participating shelters include Nate’s Honor Animal Rescue, Canine Castaways, Satchel’s Last Resort, Love4Paws, and Lowrider Dachshund Rescue of Florida, with plans to add more in the future.
Shelters often receive donated items they simply cannot use. This is because the animals in their care need a consistent diet to help alleviate stomach issues or to accommodate specific medical conditions. All of the shelters worked directly with DOGPerfect to create a custom Bonus Wishlist that includes hand-picked food, treats, toys, and more that best meets the needs of the pets in their care.
“As part of our launch and to kick-off the holiday season, we are dividing 100% of funds raised through our Round-up for a Change program between all of the DOGPerfect Bonus Wishlist shelters,” said Nicole Kenedy, Senior Manager at DOGPerfect, “Each shelter will be able to use the funds as a credit on their Wishlist to get the items they need.”
