The 73rd Annual Miss Tampa Scholarship Competition is encouraging community participation.
One of the nation’s oldest pageants is right around the corner. The Tampa Pageant began in 1946. Now pageant officials are reminding local young ladies who enjoy great opportunities to apply now to be considered.
Candidates must be 18 – 25 years old.There are prizes for the top winners.$5,000 for First Place and $2,500 for the 2nd runner up.The Miss Tampa 2022 event is set for January 8 at the Faulk Theatre in Tampa.
The Miss Tampa Scholarship Pageant has five Miss Florida winners to its credit and countless other finalists, semi-finalists and other award recipients who have performed admirably at the state competition and represented the City of Tampa and its surrounding areas with distinction for over sixty-five years.
From its earlier days with the Tampa Jaycees to the recent years of sponsorship through Tampa Steel Erecting Company, the Miss Tampa Scholarship Pageant remains an integral part of the Miss Florida Pageant Family.
A recent Miss Florida winner will be competing in the Miss America Pageant on December 16. Be sure to keep your eyes on the lookout for Leah Roddenberry. The 2020 Miss Tampa is a bright light in the pageant world now leading many to support her initiatives and wish her well.
