Tampa Bay deserves a better, faster, friendlier website from its local alt-weekly
(Dec. 2, 2021 – Tampa, Fla.) — This morning, Creative Loafing Tampa Bay launched its brand new website at cltampa.com, showcasing the same award-winning local journalism, but with a sleeker, more user-friendly design.
Hosted by Foundation, the new site is just plain faster, more responsive, and features friendlier URLs for sharing. But readers will also notice quite a few improvements, like better search functionality, streamlined content categorization, vertical scrolling on slideshows (no more clicking and going from right to left!), easier ways to find and upload local events, and robust theater and film listings.
We also think you’ll enjoy the improved Best of the Bay presentation, and the redesigned location pages, featuring maps, information, related stories, and related events. Plus, if you’re a business owner, there’s an option to submit your own updates for new locations.
“Like so many of our readers, CL did its best to survive the pandemic, but also better itself. This new site is an extension of that and this publication’s belief that information—be it hard news, arts, food, music or events—should not only be free to the community, but also available in the most streamlined and clean platform fashion available.” Ray Roa, Editor-In-Chief, said. “I’m excited to join CL readers in receiving and sharing the hard work of CL staff and contributors on the new site.”
We encourage you to explore the new site, kick the wheels, and let us know if there’s anything we missed.
