The tri-state area has a lot to offer, yet many who plan a trip here aren’t sure where to start. Whether you’re into sports, art, or wildlife, you can get your fix at any of these stops!
These are the most interesting places to visit in the tri-state area.
Museum of Modern Art
Why not take in some art while you’re out and about? In NYC, you can visit the Museum of Modern Art, affectionately referred to as MoMA by locals.
This museum is a fantastic way to experience endless art and creativity, showing that you can create whatever world you want to see through the correct use of form and color. Every exhibit is breathtaking, and because they change throughout the year, you can always come back to see something new.
The Lakota Wolf Preserve
If you want to support wildlife while seeing some of the world’s most incredible animals: consider going on a tour of the Lakota Wolf Preserve. This preserve walks tourists through what it takes to manage and support these animals, why they’re so important, and how far we’ve come since their populations were once almost extinct.
This is a surprisingly inexpensive thing you can do, with tours as low as $15 for adults and $7 for kids under twelve. This is a fun and exciting way to support nature while experiencing it at the same time.
Battleship New Jersey
If you’re in New Jersey and want to get a good feel for the area: it’s time to check out Battleship New Jersey! The US Navy’s most decorated vessel had a long past and now sits as a floating museum moored on the Delaware River. Battleship New Jersey is one of the largest military vessels ever built and will celebrate its 90th anniversary in 2022.
There are countless rooms to explore, some larger than Hoboken NJ apartments, and there’s no way to understand the behemoth size of this ship without stepping foot onto it. This is an awesome spot to stop and visit if you have the chance.
Winter Village at Bryant Park
If you’re in the tri-state area in the winter, the best thing you can do is head over to the Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park! This fantastic area turns into a nonstop holiday area, with holiday-themed shops, restaurants, skating, and even fun live shows.
This experience will quickly become a family tradition once you realize how fun it is the first time you try it. This winter village is available for the full month of December, and some parts of it stay active as late as March!
Madison Square Garden
If you’re more interested in sports, consider checking out the New York Knicks, Liberty, and Rangers and attend a game!
Although this giant arena also transforms into an awesome stage for musicians and comedians, it’s best known for sports and the incredible fans who attend. This is an easy destination to get to regardless of what part of the area you’re in and should be on the top of any tourists’ lists.
