Michelle Flynn, LCSW, CCM joins Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) provider as Chief Operating Officer
Banyan Pediatric Care Centers announced the addition of experienced healthcare administrator and clinician Michelle Flynn, LCSW, CCM to its senior leadership team. Flynn will serve as the PPEC’s Chief Operating Officer, reporting to President Jason Moxley.
In her new role, Flynn will oversee operation of Banyan’s three facilities in Florida, while working with the leadership team to plan for future expansion in other states. Banyan operates nurse-staffed day care centers in St. Petersburg, Sarasota, and New Port Richey, Florida for young people from birth to 21 years old with medical conditions that require ongoing specialized care.
Flynn joins Banyan with more than 15 years of leadership experience in healthcare and government. Most recently, she served as Director of Care Management with Fortify Children’s Health in Virginia, developing a care management program, along with recruiting, hiring, and training staff. She has also held a series of leadership roles in case management with UVA-HealthSouth Hospital, building and implementing a variety of clinical programs and the technology solutions to support them.
In addition to her extensive administrative and leadership experience, Flynn is also a licensed clinician (LCSW) and Certified Case Manager, serving previously with the UVA Emily Couric Cancer Center’s Neuro-Oncology unit. She has also demonstrated a strong commitment to community engagement, serving two terms as an elected school board member and one term as a board of supervisors member in Greene County, Virginia.
“We are thrilled to have Michelle Flynn join us as a critical member of our leadership team,” said Jason Moxley, President of Banyan Pediatric Care Centers. “Her energy, experience, and qualifications as a leader and a clinician make Michelle an instant asset and powerhouse in our organization. We look forward to working strategically with her to continue to grow Banyan’s footprint and serve more children and their families.”
