TAMPA, FL (November 4, 2021) – Franklin Street has promoted Matt Harrell to Chief Revenue Officer. A recognized business leader, Harrell has been paramount to the success of the full-service commercial real estate firm’s insurance business and overall growth, and will now take on a wider-ranging leadership role with the growing Tampa-based company.
In this newly created position, Harrell will oversee all aspects of Franklin Street’s growth strategies including business development, M&A, recruiting and sales training. He will also spearhead the development and execution of the firm’s market expansion strategy, which focuses on growing teams, resources and market share nationally.

Harrell, who joined Franklin Street in 2009, previously served as Managing Director, with responsibility for leading the firm’s largest and highest revenue grossing line of business. Over the last 12 years, he has been instrumental in growing the insurance division from three to 60 professionals, while establishing Franklin Street as a trusted partner for institutional owners, investors and developers throughout the country. Harrell has also served on Franklin Street’s Board of Directors since 2012, providing strategic guidance on the long-term vision and trajectory of the company.
In transitioning to his new role, which encompasses all Franklin Street business lines including capital markets, leasing, project management and property management, Harrell will maintain an active role with the firm’s insurance division, which currently insures a national portfolio of over 500,000 apartments units and over 60 million square feet of commercial space.
