SCF Theatre Program Opens Season with “Love/Sick”

November 2, 2021 by Post

SCF’s “Love/Sick” ticket and performance information.

(Bradenton, Fla., Nov. 2, 2021) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota’s (SCF) Theatre Program will present the first show of the season, “Love/Sick,” at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12 and 19, and Saturday, Nov. 13 and 20, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14 and 21 at the Howard Studio Theatre, SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W., Building 11 West, Room 163.

A collection of nine short plays, “Love/Sick,” by John Cariani, is set on a Friday night in an alternate suburban reality. It explores the pain and joy that accompany being in love – a true unromantic comedy for the romantic in everyone. The play is directed by Amanda Schlachter, SCF assistant professor of theatre.

General admission tickets are $15; staff tickets are $10 and students are $8. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit SCF.edu/Theatre or SCF.edu/Neel, or contact Craig Smith at SmithC@SCF.edu.
