Damage Media Group (DMG) has just announced that it has acquired CasinoHeadlines.com, a B2C iGaming news website launched back in 2003. With the 1st of November 2021 the full ownership of the site will transfer to Damage Media Group, with the majority of 2021 Q4 being reserved for the setup and redesign of the site.
Re-launch Date Set to February 2022, Editor Position Open
CasinoHeadlines.com was initially launched back in 2003 after the dotcom boom. The site was led by a small team of industry veterans that have been covering the latest happenings from the online and offline iGaming world through industry news, legislations, sponsorships, and game guides.
The site will be hosted with Kinsta Inc. on a managed WordPress solution, the same provider that has been hosting several Damage owned websites in the past. Platform wise, WordPress will once again pave the way as the backend of choice, with its unmatched performance and plugin portfolio, while a customized NewsPaper Pro Theme from TagDiv will serve as the frontend.
Damage Media Group (DMG) is an Estonian based publishing company focused on creating content driven experiences for the new generation of tech and gaming enthusiasts. The main aim of the company is to pave their way into the publishing sector by acquiring existing websites and improving on their current assets, with CasinoHeadlines.com being their second major investment of 2021.
“We have been working with both Kinsta and TagDiv for several years now, with PrinterHeadlines.com being the latest project between us three. Both companies are doing an amazing job at making the Webmaster experience more enjoyable, and in this line of work you tend to appreciate that a lot.” – Managing Director of Damage Media.
iGaming themed acquisitions have been hitting the news lately, especially now that more and more countries are introducing licenses and legal frameworks for the operators. After Evolution acquiring Netent and Caesars Entertainment acquiring William Hill for billions, the acquisition of CasinoHeadlines.com is probably a small fish in the sea. Still, the future looks bright for the industry, and it seems DMG “bets” on it.
Damage Media Group is currently recruiting the team that will represent CasinoHeadlines.com, with three positions already open; Editor in Chief, who will create and oversee the quarter content plans, from creation to amplification. Editorial Assistant that will support the editor in day-to-day operations, and a graphic designer who will be responsible for all imagery and design tone of the brand. All three positions are already available on their Careers page.
