Tampa, FL – Tampa’s own Hillsborough Community College will be partnering with USAA Insurance to host its 9th annual Veterans Entrepreneurship Training Symposium for those looking to receive critical business advice and possible financial funding. The event will be presented by InLab HCC, a collaborative organization created by Hillsborough Community College and Hillsborough County Government that provides academics, workshops, funding, and research initiatives to students.
For the eighth year, industry expert Alfred Goldberg will speak about the top three marketing mistakes that novice entrepreneurs have made throughout the years. As president of Absolute Marketing Solutions, Mr. Goldberg has over twenty-five years of experience working with customers and clients in the business world. As a result, his first-hand knowledge can help attendees expand their ideas and network with other professionals.
“As a son of a WWII vet who greatly respects the sacrifice veterans make, this is one way I can give back and serve those who have served us,” says Mr. Goldberg.
The event is open to the public to attend, while the Financial Presentation Competition will only be open to veterans, active-duty personnel, their spouses, and civilian business partners interested in owning a small business. Participants of the competition will present their business financials to a panel of business specialists for the chance to earn up to $12,000 of financial aid.
VETS will take place on November 6th from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 4001 W Tampa Blvd Tampa, FL in the InLab auditorium. If you are interested in attending the event, please register for tickets at Veterans Entrepreneurship Training Symposium (VETS) | HCC }} (hccfl.edu).
