Job Connection Center Now Open Inside West Tampa Goodwill Store

October 6, 2021 by Post

TAMPA, FLA. – Goodwill Industries-Suncoast, Inc. has opened a Job Connection Center inside its store at 4102 W. Hillsborough Ave. in Tampa, offering free services to job seekers.

Like the two other Job Connection centers in Tampa Bay, this location offers resources that can lead to greater employment success. But in this location, a Goodwill career navigation specialist provides assistance via a video monitor, in both English and Spanish.

Services available at the center include computer access, job leads and referrals, assistance with resume and cover letter development, and access to a variety of online trainings. It’s also a place to get answers about available resources such as the SNAP program, and options for childcare, housing and transportation.

The new Job Connection Center is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. People seeking assistance can leave a card during other hours and a career navigation specialist will contact them. Job Connection services are also available online through myjobconnection.org, by calling 727-282-4478, or by e-mailing JobConnection@goodwill-suncoast.com.

The West Tampa location is the third Job Connection Center operated by Goodwill-Suncoast. The other two are inside Goodwill stores at 10739 Big Bend Rd. in Riverview and at 2550 34th St. N. in St. Petersburg.

Job Connection Centers are funded by Goodwill through proceeds from donations and sales at Goodwill stores.

Goodwill Industries-Suncoast is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is transforming lives through lifelong learning and the power of work.
