WHO: FILLO’S Americas Made, a brand on a mission to bring the traditional flavors of the Americas to the market in a conveniently packaged format, is pleased to donate 75+ cases of non-GMO beans and grains to the Hillsborough Community College Food Insecurity Program in recognition of its Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration on Wednesday, October 13.
WHAT/WHEN: The Hispanic Heritage Celebration at Hillsborough Community College is a students-only event that will take place on Wednesday, October 13. The event is sponsored by the Hillsborough Community College Student Government Association (SGA) and planned out by the Hispanic Heritage Committee on the Dale Mabry campus.
WHY: Spotlighting an assortment of non-GMO beans and grains flavored with real sofrito, founders Daniel and Antonio Caballero developed FILLO’S Americas Made as a shelf-stable, clean-label culinary brand that fuses the flavor varietals from the heart of Latin America alongside today’s fast-paced lifestyle. FILLO’S harnesses the power of the pouch to shake-up the long-stagnant canned bean business, turning traditional Latin American cuisine into accessible, ready-to-eat meals.
“At FILLO’S, we’re always on a mission to keep accessibility at the forefront of our products. We’re pleased to partner with Hillsborough Community College to donate 75+ cases of FILLO’S product through their Food Insecurity Program this Hispanic Heritage Month, and look forward to sharing our clean-label, accessible, flavorful bean and grain varieties with those who need them most,” said FILLO’S co-founder Daniel Caballero. “Good foods can make all of the difference, and when people have access to foods that are equally nutritious and convenient, all the better.”
FILLO’S Americas Made spotlights 10 unique flavor varietals, encompassing Sofrito Bean varieties and Sofrito Meals, all ready in a microwavable minute.
WHERE: The event will take place on Wednesday, October 13 Hillsborough Community College – Dale Mabry Campus (4001 W Tampa Bay Blvd, Tampa, FL 33614) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
