(Bradenton, Fla., Oct. 5, 2021) — Registration has opened for returning students for the Spring 2022 semester at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) and will be available for new students on Monday, Oct. 11. Registration is available at My.SCF.edu or through the SCF Mobile app for existing students and SCF.edu for new students. Students can access financial assistance, flexible schedule options, and academic and career coaching to enhance their SCF experience and become workforce ready. Classes will begin Monday, Jan. 10 at SCF Bradenton, SCF Lakewood Ranch, SCF Venice and online.
SCF’s two-year and four-year degrees and certificate programs are created to meet the workforce needs of Manatee and Sarasota counties. Credits earned for an associate in arts degree at SCF are transferable to any state university in Florida.
Various scheduling and course delivery options provide the opportunity for students to study at their own pace without interrupting family or work responsibilities. Some of these options include:
- Go Live with SCF Online, an expanded online learning platform that provides live instruction through video conferences allowing students to experience face-to-face learning from convenient locations.
- Weekend College, for students with weekday obligations, offers classes on Friday evenings and Saturdays.
- Flex Start courses, with different start dates, include one 12-week session, two eight-week sessions and three five-week sessions.

SCF tuition is more affordable than many state universities or private colleges in Florida. Even still, the college offers many ways to help pay for classes through scholarships, financial aid, loans, grants, and payment plans.
