AdventHealth North Pinellas Completes New ER Facility
The new and expanded $20 million ER facility at AdventHealth North Pinellas is now open to serve Tarpon Springs and area residents. The ER has expanded from 6,000 to 14,600 sq. ft., with 18 private rooms, specialized treatment rooms, state-of-the-art technology, and a private EMS entrance accommodating six ambulances. The construction project is the largest to date in the hospital’s history. The ER is expected to serve more than 36,000 patients yearly.

City Adopts FY22 Budget
The City’s Fiscal Year 2022 budget begins Oct. 1.  Despite the impacts of COVID-19, the budget is balanced with no use of reserve funds. Property revenues increased 7.3%, and the $69 million balanced budget maintains a tax rate of 5.37, down from 5.42 in FY20. The budget provides for infrastructure projects, new personnel, sewer and water improvements, beautification projects, and more.   Click here for the Budget Executive Summary.

New Murals at Pinellas Trail Overpass Bridge at US 19
The east and west walls of the US 19 overpass at Live Oak are getting a facelift with the installation of murals thanks to a program of Creative Pinellas. The murals were selected by a group of artists and arts organizations, and approved by the Pinellas County Board of Commissioners. A second overpass in Palm Harbor at US 19 is also receiving a mural. Installation is beginning in October. 

Coming Soon: Catapult Adventure Park Tarpon SpringsA new indoor adventure park will be opening at 40767 US Hwy 19 in the space formerly occupied by Kidz World of Play. Catapult Adventure Park features a wide array of interconnected activities, including a launch zone, indoor tubing, rock wall, ropes course, inflatable obstacle courses, giant airbags and slides, and much more. Activities range from beginner to advanced levels. The facility serves all ages from children to adults looking for fun workouts in a “Ninja” type experience.
