ST. PETERSBURG, FL – The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Eckerd is pleased to announce the program offerings for adult learners ages 50 and better for the Fall II term (November and December) which begins on Monday, November 1. The Fall II term includes 30+ courses and social events which are presented either online via Zoom, live in-person in a classroom setting or simultaneously both via Zoom and live. Many classes are recorded and shared for a limited time. Attendees at in-person classes are required to abide by the Eckerd College’s safety rules.
OLLI hosts a multitude of non-credit programs in various fields of study from Florida studies to science and technology. This fall, learn how to create a Florida-friendly landscape that is attractive with UF/IFAS Extension Program Manager Doris Heitzmann or discover the best years of our movie lives (1966-1976) with film critic and writer Steve Persall. Day trips and overnight trips are resuming on a limited basis this Fall. OLLI also offers FREE in-person and online social activities from weekly beach walks to virtual happy hours—providing members an opportunity to stay connected with peers. Check out the details of all offerings at eckerd.edu/OLLI.
Registration for Fall II classes and events begins October 11. Individual classes generally cost $10 per session for members and $25 per session for non-members. Based on its popularity, the All-Access E-Class Pass will again be available for purchase ($75 for members and $90 for non-members). In addition to being financially attractive, the pass provides “no fuss” registration to attend all eligible Zoom classes in Fall II. The deadline to purchase the Fall II E-Class Pass is Thursday, October 28.
New and renewing members may select either a 6-month ($38) or 12-month ($59) membership. Also available is a 12 month ”Floridian” membership ($100) which includes special “Explore Florida” classes, trips and benefits.
