There is currently no clear definition of what alternative education is, so this category includes methods and types of education that confront conventional education in schools, gymnasiums, lyceums, and even private schools that operate under the generally accepted program. Of course, these methods should include using new technologies like paper editing services. Conditionally we can divide into three types.
Homeschooling is learning at home. Parents and children who choose this type take full responsibility for children’s education and develop independently. Children spend most of their time studying at home, and the program is determined together with their parents. Depending on the preferences, it can be a regular school program that the child simply goes through in a comfortable environment, or self-developed, which takes into account children’s interests, needs, talents and other factors. Studying at home contributes to the fact that the child has much more time for extracurricular activities, builds stronger relationships with family, develops self-education skills and the ability to manage their own time. Such children avoid injury from teachers and peers, are not in a constant stressful environment and absorb the material much better due to the lack of the effect of duty. At the discretion of the parents, they can teach the child certain subjects on their own or invite teachers who would study with the child for a certain period of time. Such an approach is a bit like tutoring, but the teacher has much greater requirements: he must deal with the child not from the position of teacher and student, but from the position of a friend who shares his knowledge with others.
There are a lot of them, they all have different specifics, approaches and their own vision of education. In most cases, they are created by parents for their children, when all possible educational options have not been able to meet the learning needs.
Most alternative schools operate as full-time schools, meaning that the child is busy with them from morning till night. Such a mode of work is optimal in order to provide the child not only with knowledge, but also to leave time for games, sports, extracurricular activities, hobbies and other activities that help in the full development of the child. Most alternative schools abandon the national assessment system and implement their own methods, but some, especially those with a state license, leave the twelve-point system because they have to meet state requirements.
However, almost all alternative schools, regardless of their format, do not have state registration due to a significant number of legal obstacles and the lack of an adequate registration mechanism for this type of institution. Secondary education is compulsory, so each school has its own arrangements with the state and children receive certificates, but are enrolled on the state balance as students of external studies or so on.
Distance education combines both approaches to learning and allows you to follow the school curriculum without leaving home. In general, this type of education is less related to alternative education and more to school, with the difference that the child has a more flexible schedule. and other useful information needed to master the material. Unlike homeschoolers and students of alternative educational institutions, children who study remotely, without unnecessary problems and shadow schemes, receive a state certificate.
A child who learns remotely also has online lessons with the teacher, and such communication allows to build a more adequate “teacher-student” relationship and helps the child to better master the material of the general program. You can ask any incomprehensible thing and get a full comprehensive answer, which is often impossible when studying in a regular school classroom.
The option of distance learning is best suited for parents, who in principle are satisfied with the classic program, but due to the loud schedule and learning at home, the child has more free time. At the same time, parents do not have to spend a lot of effort on their own program design and preparation, because all educational materials are already available.
