TAMPA (Sept. 21, 2021)—Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried will discuss her bid for governor at the Tampa Tiger Bay Club meeting on Friday, Oct. 15 at noon at the Cuban Club in Ybor City.
Fried was elected Agriculture Commissioner in 2018, the first woman elected to the post and the only Democrat in statewide office. Now she is running for the Democratic nomination for governor against Congressman and former governor Charlie Crist.
In a poll among Democratic voters released last month, Fried led Crist with 36% to 33%, with 31% still undecided. The primary is Aug. 23, 2022.
The forum will be in the ballroom of the Cuban Club in Ybor City. Registration begins at 11:15 a.m. and the program will begin promptly at noon. Tickets are limited and can be purchased in advance at TigerBayClub.com.
