TAMPA, Fla. (Sept. 20, 2021) – The University of South Florida today launched an electronic survey that seeks input on the specific qualities members of the community would like to see in the university’s eighth president.
The survey is being distributed to USF students, faculty, staff, alumni and other supporters. Given the university’s wide-ranging impact on the Tampa Bay area and the state of Florida, business leaders, community partners and individuals throughout the region are also encouraged to respond.
The feedback is valuable for shaping a position profile that will be used to recruit and attract a strong pool of candidates. The survey is available here and the deadline to complete it is Sept. 30.
Over the next couple of weeks, USF Presidential Search Committee Chair Mike Griffin, along with representatives from the search firm, SP&A Executive Search, will lead a listening tour to meet with a broad range of stakeholders, including representatives from all three USF campuses and key groups from the surrounding communities the university serves. These conversations will also help inform the presidential position profile and the search.
USF will continue to share updates, and post information about future public meetings, on the presidential search website.
