ORLANDO – Crossman Career Builders headed by John Crossman, a leader in promoting and supporting diversity and inclusion in higher education and the business community, has taken the challenge by the UNCF Virtual Walk for Education Orlando to raise $1,000 and he is reaching out to the community to join them.
“We are proud to support UNCF which provides much-needed college scholarships for minority students,” Crossman said, adding that anyone can help increase the number of scholarships given out by joining Crossman’s team as a walker, starting their own fundraising team, or by making a donation. The 2nd Annual UNCF Virtual Walk will be Saturday, Sept. 18, at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Crossman said his team is walking in honor of Bethune-Cookman University where he is a member of the board of trustees. He is asking as many walkers and runners as possible to sign up to help UNCF fund scholarships for tuition, room and board and internships for worthy students at more Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
