Lakeland, FL – Gastroenterology specialist Lijian Wang, MD., D.Sc. is now accepting appointments from his new practice at Watson Clinic Main at 1600 Lakeland Hills Blvd. in Lakeland. Dr. Wang previously served as a Watson Clinic gastroenterology hospitalist who treated patients exclusively from Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center.
Dr. Wang received his medical degree from Peking Union Medical College in Beijing, China, and a Doctor of Science degree from the School of Public Health at Harvard University in Boston, MA. His residency was performed at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX, and a fellowship at the State University of New York in Buffalo, NY.
He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterology Association and the American Association of Cancer Research, and the recipient of the Wyeth Fellowship and Fogarty Fellowship from the National Institutes of Health.
Dr. Wang’s areas of expertise include colonoscopy, polypectomy, esophageal dilation, capsule endoscopy, and the treatment of Barrett’s esophagus.
