September 8, 2021 by Post

SARASOTA – The Florida Center for Early Childhood’s training institute will provide an 8-week virtual training series for parents and caregivers that improves the family dynamic by supporting the emotional needs of young children.

The Florida Center Training Institute will offer eight, 90-minute sessions every Wednesday from September 22 – November 10, from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. The evidence-based approach is used internationally for parents and caregivers from different backgrounds and professionals from many different disciplines.

“It’s not about discipline or rewards charts, it’s about something much deeper,” said Kristie Skoglund, CEO. “It’s about understanding what your child needs from you emotionally then responding in a way that promotes bonding and attachment. This training can be life-changing, we’ve seen it help thousands of families.”

Attendees will learn how secure relationships can be supported and strengthened, how to pick up on cues their child is communicating, and, will be able to identify when the child(ren) needs encouragement to do things on their own or emotional support. The cost is $25 per session ($200 total).
