GTE Financial is incredibly pleased to announce the promotion of Manny Aguilar, Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial and Advisory Services Officer and the hiring of Gerhard Toth, Assistant Vice President of Member Business Services.

Manny Aguilar joined GTE Financial in 2020 as Vice President of Member Business Services. He has since demonstrated proficient skills in talent recruitment, commercial lending, and strategic market development. Based on his success, Mr. Aguilar was recently promoted to Senior Vice President. With this promotion, he will lead the credit union’s direction on Business Services, GTE Investments, GTE Insurance, and GTE Title. Mr. Aguilar previously worked at Regions Bank for more than 18 years. He earned his Masters of Business Administration with a focus in Finance and Financial Management Services from the University of Florida.
Gerhard Toth, GTE’s newest AVP, recently stepped away from Regions Bank after 11 years and joined GTE Financial to help lead business services. He is responsible for enhancing the department’s products, processes, and performance. Mr. Toth provides over 18 years of experience and expertise in commercial lending, international business, relationship management, strategic leadership, and fraud and cybercrime mitigation.
Both Mr. Aguilar and Mr. Toth have a strong passion for giving back to the local community and have volunteered with Junior Achievement for many years. Mr. Aguilar enjoys dedicating his time to the University of South Florida’s mentorship program. Similarly, Mr. Toth sits on multiple boards such as the United Way Sarasota/Desoto and Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce.
