Tampa FL – Tampa-based Selena’s Red Velvet is taking business nationwide by creating a website and shipping their new cake jars across the country.
With just a couple of clicks at www.selinasred.com, customers craving delicious and unique Selina’s Red Velvet cakes can place their orders.
Cakes, cupcakes and sheetcakes are available for pick up – or for a $5 delivery fee. Jars (layered cakes in a jar) are available for pick up, delivery and by mail.
Selina’s Red Velvet opened in 2018 by Anthony Lewis as a way to help cover the $200 weekly chemotherapy treatments for his mother, Selina, who had been diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. For years, Selina had been known by family and friends for her amazing red velvet cake and Lewis knew if others tasted it, they would want more. He began by offering free samples and spreading the word over social media.
Business quickly took off, allowing Lewis to quit his other jobs, focus on Selina’s Red Velvet, and as a single father, spend more time with his son. The following year, Selina went into remission and she now assists her son with the business. For every order, they donate $1 to the Florida Cancer Specialist Foundation.
