ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – (Aug. 24, 2021)
Executive and entrepreneur Greg Nagel has been named director of development at Tampa Bay Innovation Center, an incubator and coworking entrepreneurial center. Greg is responsible for managing and executing the Tampa Bay Innovation Center’s fundraising activities.
“We are delighted to have Greg join the Tampa Bay Innovation Center,” says Tonya Elmore, president & CEO. “He has the right personality and experience to work with community and corporate leaders to advance our fundraising activities.”
Greg is an accomplished executive with a wealth of experience and knowledge spanning non-profit, public, and private sectors. He is a dynamic speaker, award-winning volunteer organizer, business entrepreneur, and advocate for individuals with cognitive differences. His client list has included several state governments, NASA, World Golf Hall of Fame, and the Bob & Melinda Hope Foundation, just to name a few.
Nagel’s primary responsibility will be to advance the capital campaign that was launched in April for the new 45,000 SF Innovation Center. Tampa Bay Innovation Center expects to raise approximately $3.5M for its new home. Additionally, Nagel will establish an annual sponsorship program that supports the Innovation Center’s activities.
Greg’s passion for innovation stems from a unique background in science and theatre. Nagel states, “often the really cool stuff happens at the intersection of diverse fields.” This was illustrated when his start-up received the “Best Entertainment in Jacksonville” award for its science education programs. “I am humbled to join this smart, passionate, and highly successful Tampa Bay Innovation Center team”, said Nagel. “The Innovation Center has a unique position in the community working with entrepreneurs who are quickly establishing the region as a HUB of creativity and fostering our innovation economy.”
