Getting married is a dream event for everyone.Picking that perfect dress can be daunting and expensive.
Cue The Regent Entertainment venue in Riverview & their executive director who is acting like a wonderful Fairy GodMother. They are giving away wedding dresses FOR FREE to the medical community at Brandon Regional Hospital, the closest medical Hospital. The dresses were donated by Satin & Lace Bridal Boutique.
The donations came 18 months ago. The Regent Executive Director Shannon Keil said she’d take the dresses that were about to be discarded. Not knowing what exactly she was going to do with them, she was in the process of doing some planning and then Covid-19 struck. The world shut down and so did her plan to share these beautiful sequined and beaded gowns with those who could use them. Then it hit her, who better to give these eloquent gowns to than the front line health care workers at local hospitals who’ve been working to keep us safe when we needed them the most. Keil knows the challenges all too well as family members have suffered through these Covid-19 challenges.
Keil chose to partner with the Brandon Regional Hospital as the recipient hospital as they are the closest facility to the Riverview Event Space. There are going to be around 30 beautiful gowns up for the fairytale giveaway. The nurses, doctors, support staff and really anyone in the hospital who has a family member preparing to get married or thinking about it, can be entered into a drawing to win.
