How to become a dentist in the USA? The career of dentists attracts many students. Especially if we are talking about working in the United States. And this is connected, of course, with the level of income: the average annual salary of a dentist in the USA is $ 175,840, which is more than three times the average annual salary for all professions, according to the BLS. This is one of the reasons why studying the Dentist program is quite complicated, especially when it comes to writing a paper.
Besides, according to independent surveys, “dental tourism” is widespread in the United States: Americans go abroad to get cheaper medical care to save money. According to the company Patients Beyond Borders, which studies medical procedures in other countries to inform medical tourists, the top ten most popular destinations for dental tourism among patients from the United States include Mexico, Thailand, Hungary, Spain, Poland, Costa Rica, the Philippines, Malaysia, Turkey, and the Czech Republic. Patients from the United States can expect savings of 40-65% in Mexico, 45-65% in Costa Rica, and 50-75% in Thailand.
We decided to take a look at the program of Adelphi University and give students practical recommendations for admission to Universities or schools of Dentistry in the United States.
Please note!
Duration of training: at least 7 years. The total cost for 7 years of training for August 2020 is 472 thousand US dollars. This amount does not include accommodation, insurance, consumables, etc.
Dentistry in the United States refers to professional programs, you can not get this specialty on a bachelor’s program. But you can enroll in the Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree program only after receiving a bachelor’s degree from a US university.
