University Area CDC Partners Coalition Breakfast Meeting

WHO:        University Area CDC Partners Coalition

WHAT:       University Area CDC Partners Coalition 3rd Quarter Gathering

WHEN:      Thursday, July 22, 8:30 to 10 a.m.

WHERE:     University Area Community Center, 14013 N. 22nd St., Tampa, FL 33613

DETAILS:    The public is invited to this free third-quarter gathering of the University Area CDC Partners Coalition, where attendees will learn about programs and initiatives happening in the Uptown/University Area, and will enjoy complimentary breakfast and networking.  

This gathering is for everyone who has an interest in improving the    neighborhoods in the Uptown/University Area.

Agenda will include:

Community Investment – University Area Cultural Campus: presenters Sarah Combs, University Area CDC and Jody Beck, Traction Architecture

Focusing Forward – A Community Conversation on YOUTH, SCHOOLS AND OUR FUTURE, moderated by Freddy Barton, Sound & Safe Hillsborough. Panelists: Kylia Carswell, Mort Elementary; Karen Perez, Hillsborough Co. School Board; Stevie Hodgkins, Hillsborough Co. teacher and UACDC board member; Shayla Solomon, community resident and parent; Emile Hernandez Mesa, Hillsborough High School sudent.

Small Biz = Big Impact: Roger Neal, Barber Extraordinaire

Reservations are required by emailing RSVP@uacdc.org. There is no charge to attend.     

In compliance with Hillsborough County regulations, masks will not be required; masks will be optional.

In addition to University Area CDC, sponsors include Simply Healthcare Foundation, AaSys, Advent Health and USAA. Serving the community for more than 20 years, University Area CDC provides support for thousands of Tampa residents through holistic programming, adult education and resource assistance. Its primary mission is the redevelopment and sustainability of at-risk neighborhoods in the Uptown/University area, surrounding University of South Florida’s Tampa campus.
