Which Cities and States Care the Most (and Least) about Their Pets? (Infographic)

Online pet publisher releases an infographic that ranks how much US states and cities really care about their pets

Pet News Daily (https://petnewsdaily.com/), a provider of free advice for pet owners, today announced the publication of the infographic, “Which American Cities and States Care the Most (and Least) about Their Pets.” You can find the full infographic here: https://petnewsdaily.com/who-cares-most-and-least-about-their-pets/

The infographic highlights key data from original research conducted by Pet News Daily (PND) that determines which cities and states in the U.S. care the most and the least about their pets.
The findings may come as a surprise: Leesburg, Virginia was ranked as the city that cares the most about their pets, while Tampa, Florida was ranked as the city that cares the least. When it comes to states, Virginia ranked first as the state that cares the most about their pets, while Nebraska was ranked the state that cares the least.

It’s generally understood that caring owners have some level of health insurance for their pets, so they can get the best treatment when they get sick or injured. So to compile their list, PND gathered data from Google Trends on how frequently (or infrequently) different regions in America conducted searches for the phrase “pet insurance” and other related pet care terms.

“This infographic offers a revealing look into how much pet owners around the US actually care about the well-being of their pets,” says Ken Lyons, Co-Founder of Pet News Daily. “I think people are going to be pretty shocked when they see where their state or city ranks on our list.”

“Which American Cities and States Care the Most (and Least) about Their Pets” provides a number of though-provoking insights, including:

-Residents in Leesburg, Virginia care the most about their pets, much more than any other city in America.
– Tampa, Houston and Austin, Texas are all tied for caring the least about their pets.
– Overall, states in the Northeast care more about their pets than every other part of the country.
States in the Southern U.S. appear to care the least about their pets.
