Tampa Plastic Surgeon Joins Hospital to Create New Department

St. Petersburg, FL – (June 11, 2021) Bayfront Health St. Petersburg proudly welcomes distinguished plastic surgeon Deepak Naidu, MD to lead its new Medical Group Aesthetic & Reconstructive Surgery department. Dr. Naidu, who previously operated his own practice in South Tampa, began his new role on June 1.

Dr. Naidu received his BA from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and his MD from the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He went on to hold prestigious residency positions at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery, and University of South Florida Division of Plastic Surgery, as well as serving as Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine.
His extensive research includes studies on wound care, animal bites and deep vein thrombosis (DVT). He has been published more than a dozen times in prominent medical journals, and has presented at various medical conferences.

Dr. Naidu’s professional affiliations include the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Tampa Bay Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, and the Hillsborough County Medical Society.
