LIVE MUSIC EVERY FRIDAY IN DOWNTOWN! If you like our Friday Night Live Concert Series, you’ll love Courthouse Live! Courthouse Live will take place every Friday, with the exception of our 2021 Friday Night Live dates (September 10th, October 8th, and November 12th) when the festivities shift to Hernando Park. It’s our way of keeping the music playing in historic downtown Brooksville. REMAINING SCHEDULE FOR JUNE: JUNE 11: Jeff Jarrett JUNE 18: Eddie McConnell JUNE 25TH: Emmet Stevens Jr. with Wilton Simpson Jr. SPECIAL NOTE:BEGINNING IN JULY, COURTHOUSE LIVE WILL SHIFT TO A LATER TIME AND BE HELD FROM 7PM – 9PM Take an early trip downtown to explore our Florida Mermaid Trail, visit some of our one of a kind shops, and grab a meal to go at one of our downtown restaurants. Bring a chair from home, or you can even dine under the beautiful oaks at our newly placed picnic tables at our historic courthouse. FOOD AND SNACK/DESSERT VENDORSOne full food and one snack/dessert vendor will be reserved each Friday we produce Courthouse Live. THE RETURN OF MISTLETOE OVER MAIN STREET In Brooksville, we are known for our month long Christmas celebrations. In the spirit of “Christmas In July”, we are getting festive a bit early!A very special mistletoe will be hidden in Brooksville from July 18th – July 24th. Watch for the daily clues that will lead you to big prizes! HOW TO PLAY:1. Follow the clues launched daily at 10am on our Brooksville Main Street Facebook page and website between July 18th – 24th 2. Locate the hidden mistletoe outside a local Brooksville business. 3. Take a photo with the mistletoe at the found location and email to tina@welovebvl.org You MUST submit your photo via email to be declared the winner of the day. 4. Next, take the found mistletoe to our offices located at the Brooksville Welcome Center 205 E. Fort Dade Ave., Brooksville, FL 34601 Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm to claim your prize! We will close out the festivities on July 24th with participating businesses having festive cocktails, special menu items, and decorating their establishments in a Christmas theme. All week long while you are searching for the location of the mistletoe, be sure to stop in to visit our businesses. Shop at our unique stores, grab a bite to eat, create something with friends and family, or simply stop in to say hello. New to the area? Be sure to stop by our Brooksville Welcome Center located at 205 E. Fort Dade Ave., Brooksville, FL 34601 to discover all there is to see and do in the area, with helpful assistance by our friendly Florida’s Adventure Coast tourism staff. Brooksville Main Street has partnered with Nature Coast Technical High School’s Film department, NCT Films, to produce 20 ‘Follow Me to Brooksville’ segments. This is in partnership with our T-Mobile sponsorship. The first “Follow Me to Brooksville” episode has been released! CALL TO ARTISTSProject: Library MuralsHonorarium: $10/square footApplication Deadline: Open Brooksville Main Street invites artists to create an original art piece on one of two locations at the Hernando County Public Library in downtown Brooksville. The mural program is designed to enhance the city by adding works of art to the Main Street District, bringing art, character, and interest to otherwise uninteresting surfaces.
